 this is fiona. she's 4 years old and her codename is the blonde bombshell.

i was shooting at a horse show this weekend and this is the tent we set up with laptops and stuff so that the riders can come a look at their pictures. theres a big fan in there and she was right in front of it. fiona is the daughter of one of the other photographers. that's her dad in the background.

Looks like she has something on her mind. :P

I like how the guy is looking down and even the tent is leaning in her direction. The photo of the horse in the background and her flowing hair give this a wild spirit. Great shot.

I love how her face is squeezed into the corner of the frame, and her hair blows up towards the other corner.. it's like opposite from where you'd usually look first, works really well.

This is such a fun and funky portrait - successful both at capturing sense of character and sense of place. The eye moves around at first, until it finds the true subject in the bottom corner, like a revelation.
