This is the same windmill from a similar angle to my Diagonal entry, which was my first ever DPChallenge entry.

I wanted to reshoot this since I reprocessed a JPG i'd taken back then with good effect.

There was a storm so I took this just after the rain had stopped. I really like it so i hope it does ok.

My mum used to be secretary of the "Friends of Mountessing Windmill Association".

I was going to enter a shot of this windmill in the August freestudy, you can check out the image in my portfolio.

This is a great shot, as mentioned by Larus the blown highlights to the right only mildly detract. Would of liked to of seen this score a bit better.

Nice work Kev!

Greetings from the critique club :)

Well this is it for me, the 100th critique club comment I give so now I can cross off yet another thing on my "DPC to do list 2007".

I thought I would make the 100th critique extra in depth but I don´t really have all that much to say about this image as I mostly like it.

It´s a good shot and one I probably would have voted a 6 or a 7, depending on how well I thought it stacked up to the rest of the photos in the challenge.

It´s well exposed and composed, I do like the tones in the image as well as the contrast and sharpness in the photo. I don´t really care for the big blotch of blown highlights in the right side of the photo but it´s not something that is bothering me a whole lot either.

Well that´s it basically, I like this shot. However, I can´t really help but compare it to photos from other people like Philos who has taken a lot of windmill photos and sorry, this doesn´t really stack up to his photos, but still, this is a good photo, I am just showing you why I would "only" give this a 6 or a 7.

Kind regards from Iceland, Lárus.

Nice detail, good perspective. I like the sky effect, it adds to the image without overpowering it.

Not as 'charming' as the traditional style windmills but still a very nice image.
