Perfect for the challenge. I love the composition, the way you have used the light, and that wonderful sky. I am less convinced by the post processing - in particular, the photo is way over-sharpened for my taste. |

This shot turns out to be my 150,000th vote on DPChallenge... so to commemorate the milestone, I'm going to offer a much more thorough critique than I would normally ever take the time to give (um... lucky you...!?).
Actually, I'm very glad this is the milestone shot, because I like it a lot. Just two votes ago, I was casting my vote for an obvious attempt at a brown ribbon, so I'm quite thankful to be at this shot!
Anyway... on to the meat. Lots of farming shots in the challenge, naturally. I like the composition here. Keeping the tractor off-center helps make the shot more interesting, and the lines of the crops give it a great sense of rhythm. The colors feel a little muted to me, as if the green could have been a little more green, but even as it is, the colors of the crops blend nicely with the sky.
As a bit of a nitpick, I probably would have liked it a little better without the fence in the foreground. I kinda doubt the farmer would have appreciated you knocking it down, though :)
I wouldn't be surprised if someone posted a note suggesting that the shot should be rotated to provide a level horizon, but I would think it's fine as is. After all, it is apparently on a hill.
Can't think of too much more to add. Again, lots of farming shots in the challenge, so it's a little hard to really stand out above all of them, but this is definitely among the better ones I've seen. I'm giving it a 7. |

This is BEAUTIFUL! To me, this is rural at its best! I wish I could wake up to that view every morning. |

wonderful composition - the lines draw you into the scene and the clouds lift you up and to the right - very cool indeed! |
