Sorry, you got robbed. This should be in the 3s. Even with the focus issues, it still should have been low fours at worse.
You did well to fill the frame, as most food/macro shots it is good to remove the dead spaces. I like the varied textures of the bun and the chips, good combination there. Next time try a couple of different angles (maybe you did that?). I'd almost cut off the top 1/8th or so of the picture. Don't worry about the comments about "camera phone" and what not. Photography is more than just about shock value. Cheers.

| This composition is just a jumble and too washed out with harsh lighting. A bit more negative space would improve the shot and softer lighting. |

| would have been nice if it were sharp and in focus, needed to see more of what's inside the bun...otherwise good compostion. |

areas where I think you could improve this photo:
lighting: to harsh with too many blown out areas
focus: getting some area of a picture out of focus is called creative focus, everything blurry is called out-of-focus usually caused by camera shake. the use of a tripod, monopod, or something to steady the camera helps
composition: a bunch of fries around a bun with an onion from a typical angle is not very inspiring or inviting to stay and explore more of your picture. |

| Good looking food, but not very well in focus. It looks like on-board flash is giving harsh reflections and shadows also. Since your submission is limited to 150KB maybe it would be better to take it from more of a distance and crop the heck out of it. |
