I agree! Wow!

I appreciate all the comments, especially the people who got the concept of negative space. I felt that the butterfly(moth) and flowers were the subject and that the surrounding blur of wonderful green (with other slight colors mixed in)made the photo pop. The background(negative space) in my opinion definitely added to the subjects...and created the WOW.

Nice DOF on background, and colour is quite a wow. Foreground is pretty but not truly striking (for me). Colours good.

Those are neat little flowers. Pretty butterfly, I like how you blurred the background. 6

I like the colors and DOF, but there's not much else to hold my interest.

Good composition. Neg space is very applicable here. 9

I think your multihued textured background does not quite do in for neg space, sorry

update: since my original comment, I have refined my own definition of neg space, and my original comments/rating were unfair to you, nice picture...

I knew I'd see lots of these photos. The only comment I can make is I think I would have rather seen the sky as the space, instead of the grass... this butterfly wouldn't fly into the grass, I don't think. But then again, I'm not a butterfly. - bamaster (7)

the mottled backgroud coupled with the mottled butterfly (its a moth ' - ) works well here. this image would not work without the impressionistic negative space in the background. nice shot. (10) ~mcmurma

okay negative space. There's a pattern to the background and its a bit distracting and takes away from the value of the neg space. the picture is pretty good nonetheless

Nice. I feel the flowers are pointing out of frame, they need to be pointing the viewer at the lovely greennesses in the background.

your depth of field is gorgeous....... placement of the butterfly and bloom in the corner provides asymetrical balance and the colour contrast and textures make the positive and negative space.... nice photo....... eight.

WOW I love that flower ! I've never seen one like it before ! Excellent choice for the week. The colors are awesome and the DOF is GREAT ! The negative space DOES add a POW to the overall photo ! Shiiizzzam
