I wonder how many of us have rottys. I do, Great portrait and I love the lines in the background.

It's a clear shot, good details (which is hard in a darker dog), good lighting with no obvious shadows, and the background is non-distracting. I'm leaning towards disliking the collar. I think having it not there at all, or backing up a little and showing the entire collar may have been better.

very nice dog I like the image but Its a shame about the lines on the fence or house.
If this was on a plain background it would be a winner for me

Is he as cuddly as he looks?
Nice focus, detail and colour

LOL With the lines in the background, this resembles a police mug shot! Nice use of B/W here. You have good shades for it.

Very beautiful dog and you have retained the texture of the hair perfectly. Eyes have a beautiful catchlight, subtle and not overpowering. The collar really does look like stainless steel.
I am sure you have had comments on the background!
What a shame. Especially when the dog looks like he is happy to pose (my dog loves the camera and will sit for ages, move head left - hold - right hold - head up - hold etc.)
If this were my picture I would definatly edit the background and get it printed.

Cute idea and the horizontal lines work pretty well in the background. I love the title, wish the collar weren't visible though.
