This was tiring! haha My wrist and eyes were killing from trying over and over to geth this befor tipping over cause I dont have good balance on one hand! lol Probally wont do well but... I thought it was funny. A I'm still on a high from my last score! hha The funny things that stick out to me are... the electric plug near the "ceiling", the odd position for the light bulb fixture, and of course number one... My huge wedgy!

Hello from the Critique Club!

This was a great idea! You had me fooled for a second!

What is great about this picture is the attention to details (most of them). The floor looks like a ceiling, the light fixture looks real, and that picture frame was the icing on the cake. I'm sure you already know about the socket, the pants, and that corner of your shirt.

I think the problem with this one is the wishy-washy look to it. The wall is that very plain cream color, and your arms are an odd shade of red (although that might just be the blood rushing to them). The shadow on the wall is also unflattering. It looks like you lit is with a single source in the room. To eliminate those shadows, you can try to balance out the lighting with another source.

Overall, wonderful idea! I think with some more attention, this picture could have improved in the technical aspects. Please keep up the creativity, it's always welcome!

Totally laugh. Lots of nice intentional and unintentional details in this photo and, wedgy aside, the drape of the pants is quite pleasing.

Nice upside down composition. The electric outlet and pants tip off the upside down on this. Good positioning of the picture, lamp and handstand. With better lighting this would have done much better. 6

That's pretty good! The picture on the wall really makes it. It must be hard plugging in your appliances...

I don't comment on pictures much, but i just wnated to mention that i thought the concept behind this picture was well done. I think taking the idea of an upside down theme and making the subject apear rightside up though he is upside down is great. My suggestions (and please do reshoot this photo) would be to better frame that wall on the left that has the outlet. I think if you could manage to have that completely out of frame that would help. Also the floor/cieling would be better as a 1 piece and no sheet off to the side. And finally a little more editing with either iphoto or picassa could make the contrast and colors really stand out and take it from a picture to a photograph without getting too advanced. The upside down to right side up photograph hanging on the wall is a great touch however. I really think you could make this a great picture, so please try again.

Great the way you used the portrait on the wall to give the appearance that the person is hanging from the ceiling and not supporting theirself on the floor. Cool set up.

nothing is upside down

good idea, but tuck the shirt into the paints, pin the paints to the socks, and cut out the electric plug at the top,
aline your camera so the corner of the wall is stright
attn: to the little details is important.7 for all the work you put into getting this shot.

Well conceived, but execution was a little lacking. The flash produced harsh shadows and the outlet & 'ceiling' ruin the illusion. Kudos for trying though! << 6 >>

Very nice concept. Framing so as to avoid the electrical outlet (or even cropping) would've worked better but still a cool pic as it is.

If you could have just cropped out that electrical outlet, this would be very believable! Cute setup.
