 Little dragon that we keep on our mantle. Used our Electric fireplace as the background.

Used my Sigma 70-300 F4-5.6 lens on macro mode. Fair amount of postprocessing in PS7: Slight crop, level adjustment on dragon only, replaced certain sections of the BG as they were overly bright or too yellow (used the healing brush), some cloning of bright points on the dragon, dodge and burn (here and there), resize, USM, blur in overlay mode, border.

I'm not sure how this will do, but at least it's not a picture of a dog (there will be many I'm sure).

First the title doesn't seem to match the background of the shot. The fire effect seems to surround the dragon not come out of it's mouth. The dragon itself is hard to see because of underexposure. A touch of fill lighting (or side lighting to get depth) would be nice here!

I like the background. I think you should've lit this guy from underneath. It would have made him look a little more sinister. Good subject, just the lighting on him isn't quite where I think it should be and probably could be just a little brighter.

The detail has been created by highlights rather than from the colour of the object. This makes it difficult to look at, for me. Nice idea, though. 5

This is a great shot, wonderful choice of background, firey, which is what I am sure you had in mind, anyway the colors are great the lighting is perfect for this shot, the contrast is very good also,
