This photo, like Zoomdak's entry which placed one higher, was shot at Mount Christie in the Olympic National Park, Washington. Silly me, I failed to run this through a program like neat image to clear away some of the noise in the reflective surface. Still, I liked the sense of the shadow doing the photography, while the photographer (my son, Thomas, aka "Zoomdak") hangs out underneath the rock. This was taken at dawn, around 6AM, at 4700 feet elevation, on our annual 50 mile hike vacation as a family. By the way, jwrobins, who placed 31st in this same challenge, also shot this same lake and location at dawn, just pointing across to Mount Seattle across the lovely reflective surface of Martins Lake. |

Very much like the exuberance of this, and totally original treatment of the scene. |

Very clever POV used to make this illusion work. Nicely done! Good luck in the challenge. |

really nice capture of the reflection (i like how the floor of the bond is showing through) but the photographer on the left is distracting and has a lot of noise in it |

Nicely done. The use of the shapes and the mans shadow with the tripod works well. |

This is a good one. I expected to see quite a few of these perspectives in this challenge. It's so great how this one makes your eye hunt & get it's bearings! All the little 'clues' come together nicely in the end...

WOW! I had to look really hard to find the "line" - and if not for the rocks in the "sky" I would have thought it was right side up (or should I say upside right? lol). OK, I had to re-score this. It's now a 10. Hope you ribbon! |
