greetings from the critique club
Nice image!
It's an interesting abstract. You've balanced the light and dark areas well, and I love the diagonal composition.
There is one area in the upper right that is a bit overexposed and that does detract a bit from the overall quality. An argument could be made that it adds to the balance of the very dark area, but I think it is just a bit too much.
I think on a site more geared towards "art" images this would do quite well, with the OE area burned in a bit. Here on DPC it placed just about right, which is a shame.
Very nicely done.

Far and away the challenge winner for me. Rest of the challenge was utterly dull and lifeless. Great stuff Lizzy. |

Well, okay, there's what this is 'cause everyone seems a little confused. There's a river running by my school's library. This photo is a rock and plant and the water running. I didn't do anything to it, this is the way it came out in the camera. |

I find this a little hard to discern what is happening here. Flowing water and? |

I am not sure what this is to be honest but it's great! My guess is water in a river with a rock and trees with some fabulous adjustments and qonderful light, hope it gets a ribbon. |

A great abstract - the motion appears as brushstrokes in a surreal painting. I like the light and dark, the diagonal angles, the curves and curcles and sticks... 8 |

At first I thought it was an animals' eye. I looked at the title and looked at the shot again and finally saw what it was. The way that the water is flowing makes it seem very much like a painting. Kind of interesting actually. "8" |

A refreshingly artistic approach in an extremely bland challenge, this is painterly and thoroughly evocative as an image. A shot like this will not tire with repeat viewings as many of the others will. It's a little noisy, but perhaps this is a technical limitation and the creative merit more than supplements this. Excellent picture. a bit too gray. how does it come out with more saturation? |

FYI: Aquarius is the water carrier. I'm not even sure what this is. Too abstract for me. |

Looks very mystic and interesting too me - I like it. I'm already curious about your photo details. Good luck for the challenge! |

I'm guessing that this is water? Aquarius is actually an air symbol. What are we looking at here? was it photoshopped? I like the very abstract you have here, but I'm wondering if it's dpc legal for basic editing. Anyway... it's pretty cool looking. |
