Fantastic job!. I REALLY love the shot and processing you\'ve done here. Obviously the 3D aspect does this for me and I do like the other elements you\'ve added (white border, gray background and shadow cast).
But I do have a question: How might it have looked if the shadow cast by the border and the gradient of the gray (light to dark) went from upper right to lower left? Wouldn\'t that have been more consistent with the natural lighting of the bridge (which appears to be upper right)? Or did you purposely take it the other way for some reason? (As an engineer, I\'m trained to be picky - sorry)
Still, a very nice work indeed! |

This is very interesting, and skilfully done.
I'm not wild about the gradient on the gray BG; I assume the idea is to present this as if it is a standalone construction, and I find myself wondering how this would have worked if you had exactly duplicated the DPC flat gray, then done something like using that gray for both BG & a border on your image, a pretty wide border, so the whole would float with the DPC-standard black hairlines loosely defining the target space. Or something like that...
I'd love to see you do a variation and see if it seems more or less 3-D. Regardless, a really crisp image and a fascinating presentation. |

Wow, talk about a picture that pops out at ya! You have taken that saying an embodied it in this image. And you have done an exceptional well job of it too. I like how you 'curved' the main photograph to add to the optical illusion of this being 3-D and popping out of the frame & image. The span of the bridge comes out of the main frame and continues off into the left bottom corner giving the eye some leading lines that lead off to the vanishing point of the road in the top right hand side of the picture. The 'wall' is a grey gradient that goes from light to dark horizontally - a good choice for it adds another dimensional aspect (rather than a flat one tone wall) as well as being complimentary without overpowering the main subject of this composition. |

You're going to have to write a "How'd they do that?" after winning this challenge. I've waded through over 400 images and this is the first one I can give a ten to. Its a very nice image and shows incredible technical ability. It surely displays expert editing. Needless to say, this goes in my favorites file! |

This doesn't work for me. It's an effect just for the sake of the effect (like "see what I can do - I'm good at PS") - not because it enhances the picture in any way - at least imo. |
