I'm glad Don just commented on this - somehow along the way I've missed it. Lovely. |

He's got flying saucers in his eyes! :) Very arresting shot, nice use of the blur and hat brim to frame the eyes. |

Besides the blurred bottom working very well pulling us right into those baby eyes the diagonal really adds even more excitement to this shot. |

This is awesome. The thumb totally captivated me, and when it opened up, it was not a disappointment. I love the effect of that blur at the bottom. It adds a touch of dreamy drama. |

Blur by mechanism of frisbee... I love that. This is a great portrait and a mysterious composition. Not all there. |

This is a class shot! The shallow DOF and the blur pulling the viewer right into the perfect eyes is just powerful. The desat works too. This should have been used in a free study challenge. |

I like the strong diagonals in the composition. I'd like to compare with a version where the eyes are not quite so super-sharp -- it makes it look a bit artificial when it's really a completely natural capture.
PS: The eyes look good in the thumbnail -- I think I was a little surprised at the difference between the small and large versions.
