I like the sharp ball a lot. I also like the story and everything from the dog to the left. I'd just bring in the right edge to just right of the dog. That'll lend some balance. The problem, often, with centered compositions is that they invite comparisons across that central line. Here, you have the boy balanced against not much. With the right edge moved over, you have the dog on the right balancing the boy on the left. It also keeps attention where you want it, as opposed to wandering over to the right in this composition. |

Summer days by the river. This is great. The blur makes it timeless, this could be anyboy with his dog. I smell childhood in the air! |

I like the focus on the ball too, Anne. Sometimes all that energy is best spent (before they get back home, LOL). Nice shot. |

oh YES!! only about 1000 times! they both have so much energy!!
thanks, I left focus onthe ball so the viewer could see the ball. in blurred mode, it is not easily visible b/c of the bg trees (green hides the ball) |

I love the focus on the ball...the image becomes about the ball, not the child or the dog. Did he go get it? :) |

This one is almost tooo blurry for me. LOL I can tell it's a boy and his dog but I want to desperately put on some glasses to see it better. I guess since I like motion blur so much, I'd rather see the wag of the dog's tail or a trail from his arm throwing something. ;~D |
