Very cool capture and the blur is well suited to these types of birds - they have such a floating, soft look to them to begin with. |

What a beautiful image. Despite all the movement there is enough detail left to see exactly what is going on. |

Beautiful, Sandy. I love the ghostly blur of his flight too. This is hauntingly beautiful. |

I so love the double-arced wings and the horizontal motion lines of the background! While I too love razor sharp details (I can see a lot of details my eye doesn't have time to register in the real world), this is very pleasing in an entirely different way. Just gorgeous! |

Terrific capture of motion and the lightness of the egret against the darkness of the background makes for a much more interesting and artistically balanced photo. The fact that the head & feet are "somewhat" in focus really grounds this image. Terrific range of motion captured in the wing movement. |

This I like!
The fluid nature of a bird in flight is so wonderfully done like this.
Are you sure you didn't steal this out of my collection?
jk - this is a beauty! |

Very nicely captured indeed... the wavy horizontal lines are beautiful, very pleasing to look at. The frenetic energy of the bird is really suggested by the blur. |

It's cool that you can still make out the perfect point of his beak. I like the arc up and over, created by the flapping wings. Also that there is a touch of white in the upper left. See, you're gettin' this blur thing. ;~D |

ps I love the panning emphasis on the movement already blurred! |

so very cool! let me say that if this were a tack sharp photo, i would probably not enjoy it. birds to me are so unsharp. they're the most free and most spirited... and anyone who tries to make them tack sharp and perfect is making a huge mistake. lovely job. |
