great shot, my only complaint would be kid seems to be distracted... but then again, maybe kid is in potter land, imagining.

This is FANTASTIC! I am learning so much from this thread. I knew nothing about blur and how to enhance a photo with it. Seeing how effectively people are using it either over all of the photo, or just part of it is teaching me so many new things I want to try.
I LOVE the mood of this! You did this really great!

Really nice composition and lighting. The wall and the man's legs create a perfect 45 degree angle. The shadowy area behind them with the pop of light is a nice touch. |

This is just an excellent shot! Very nice!
You need to get a blurry shot of that wall behind them, before the end of this 30 day thingy! :) |

this is totally excellent .. love those shapes on the window and the relaxed and intimate father and child .. that blured scene in the background really sets this off beautifully and gives it an added dimension .. :):)xx |

I love what this represents (and like the picture, too) - the Harry Potter books did so much to re-energize reading that I think I should send a Thank You note to Ms Rowling. It warms my heart to see scenes like this - and young kids sitting just anywhere, completely oblivious to the world around them, engrossed in a book. This picture captures that kind of scene well. |
