This is Woody, aka The Annoying Cat. Every evening he sits on MY spot on the sofa. Then when I go to sit down I have to move him and he's not too happy about it. So I move him.

Then what does he do? He comes by me to rub on me, sometimes using his teeth. I push him away. He comes back. I push him away. He comes back. So then maybe he'll start "kneading dough" on me. Or put paw up towards my face. I push him away. He comes back. I push him away. He comes back. Over and over and over again.

He'll usually give up after a while. On those occasions that he won't quit or I'm not just in the mood to be annoyed, I'll get out the vacuum cleaner and put it next to me. His other name is Scaredy Cat. He takes off running every time!

This was a desperate last attempt at a picture since I had nothing worthwhile from earlier. Light was poor and and this was best of the pictures. I just downloaded Filter Forge, a filter creator program. You buy the program and get filters for free. Most are lame, but this "white" filter created a decent effect. I didn't do much except crop, adjust levels on body fur, clone out crease in sofa and darker spot on lower right. Eyes were a hazy mess so I burned a bit which helped overall photo I think.

Cats can be incredibly persistent. I'm sure he thinks it's HIS spot on the sofa and your trying to squat on his territory :)

Good result. Can a picture feel "soft and fluffy"? This one does.

Sounds like your cat is trying to get his spot back on the couch, that you apparently stole from HIM! I love cats for their persistant nature. (still giggling at your write up!)

Love the high key of this image.

Awww, how can you call any cat annoying?? :-) I like the hi-key effect, very nice portrait! As always, thanks for sharing your processing tips; I'll be checking out Filter Forge :-)

There's something about Woody's posture in this photo that makes me think of an old man posing for a painting! Sounds like he's trying hard to get attention from you. I like cats to a degree but I had one once that used to do that kneading/etc. when I was trying to go to sleep -- drove me nuts.

lol that is a funny story. It's something that has to be seen on video I think. The look he is giving you seems a little forlorn, like, "why don't you like me?" lol

Not a cat person, hm? You've got to give Woody a good scrubbing - that's when you pet him vigorously with both hands. Not so vigorously that he's put off, of course. He'll probably get his dose of affection that way and then leave you alone - or at least go off to wash himself to get his fur right again.

The photo - I like it. It's very romantic with that white filter.

cool effect - I have a personal distaste for cats, and your description reminds me why:) Although, some folks like them for those very same reasons.

well firstly woody looks like he wouldnt annoy anyone with that cute as a button expression & a bit'v innocence thrown in ..
secondly i think you should thank your lucky stars ... we have a 14 year old dog who has a miriad of very very annoying smells, behaviours & noises up her sleeve ... i believe she is psychic as well, seeming to choose her time with incredible accuracy to evoke the most annoyance & distress from family members .. i think i cop the brunt of the most intense smells and behaviours ... i wont go into detail coz it would totally gross you out .. suffice it to say that i would welcome rubbing and kneading, altho not from sashy, in case she let rip with one of her well timed farts .. sorry i couldnt help myself with that particular grossness .. and i assure you its only the tip of the iceberg !! .:)
