Day one of my contribution to the Blurry project...fitting, as it seems, since today was yet another flood and I was hit with an emotional flood myself. Dark and dreary were the threads holding my day together. I miss Byron so much, and it seems that the days I miss him most are days like this, when even Heaven is crying.

Heaven is crying here, but all in an attempt to keep you (and the young ones) growing.

Forgot to say how much I liked the streaks of rain. Simplicity can be so powerful in photography.

Stunning. I don't see so much as feel the subject here. It's right there, under the surface, yearning to be touched, to touch, to share, to be shared. There is healing in art, Laurie, in finding truth and beauty in what is, what has been, and what will be, and in allowing us to see the beauty you have found that we might otherwise never have seen.

Beautiful image, and I pray that you will soon look at this as a healing photograph. There is always sunshine after the rain!

Oh, Laurie, you make me cry! This beautiful photo could be a symbol of all that hurts inside you. But its very beauty a reminder that there is still beauty around you and one day, your heart will be full of it again.

I'm sorry for your loss. This photo captures a sense of dreariness very well.

May his memory be a blessing..

this is lovely. soothing tones, somber but because it's rain, also refreshing for the soul & body; so is crying...

We never stop missing someone we loved, time brings a dullness to the ache...

Hang in there~

Deep despair can sometimes create a strange beauty of its own. This is a perfect example. As you walk through it and feel the emotion, look what amazing things you are creating as you work it out.

I love it.

Very lovely pattern, and lovely shading pattern. I feel the dreariness too. You're nicely put into this photo I think.. nicely done.
