You have captured emptiness; emptiness in darkness; emptiness in people pursuing nothing; emptiness in an environment made for the pursuit of a passing fancy. Excellent. |

Utterly revelatory. I am there and it is so quiet, except for the crickets and the occasional startling carryover from the voices from across the field. |

Excellent, the eerieness of the humdrum, kind of blue velvet feel to this. |

Wow! This is just soooo cool, I love all that darkness with the subject just visible. |

How AWESOME, you are most certainly the prince! of darkness, very nice composition. The only real distraction for me is the bright vertical bar to the right, goal post? Nevermind, very cool shot! |

Love it! Saw the thumb and it looked so empty I had to click it. Full view though and its great. I like the big dark area at the bottom tho perhaps it would look better with just a little less.
As an alternative image I would love to see a vertical crop of the left hand half-ish of the image but moved up a bit to just include the lamp, the runners and a good chunk of the black at the bottom. Though I am guessing that would have to come from a different image.
A great start to the months thread! |
