It's amazing to me how much the crop did for this, how it changed the focal point of the image to the boy, and emphasized even more the (effective) use of blur here. Perception is a funny thing.

I like it. Went and peeked at the image with the camel, have to say, am glad that you cropped it. For my taste, this crop, is more effective. :)

Great timing to catch that boy in mid-stride right where you want him in the composition. Fantastic foreground "frame".

Camel, did I miss something? I like this as a candid, and as a unique look at what appreas at first glance to be an intimate moment, but on closer look probably not. I also like the person between them. It seems quirky (I hate that word, sorry). The whole thing's very unusual. I like it.

There's something very poignant in the way the people in the foreground are looking past each other, curiously although the bot is in focus I do't find him to be the centre of interest, he just serves to emphasise the disjunction of the forground characters.

i like the way you've chosen the focus in the background and the main subjects out'v focus .. i really like the boy who appears to be looking right at either you or the couple .. :)

"No Standing" zone in a traffic area, I believe. So people don't stop to let off passengers.

Oddly effective. I see nothing wrong with "zones of sharpness" in this challenge, so that's OK by me. There's all kinds of ways to use dominant blur.

I kinda liked the camel, for me it added an unusual and unrelated element that made you think "why is there a camel here?" :)

eta: forgot to mention, I do like this technique and used it myself just the other day on this.

Yes! I totally love that concept of having stuff in the foreground out of focus and the less significant background IN focus - it messes with the mind. When I submitted something like that to a challenge - hahaha... need I say more.

lol. this photo toally messes with my head. first I was like."awwwww..loove. looks like they are about to kiss" then I saw the kid and was like.."what?...wait a little boy doesn't fit into that fantasy..ewwww..eewwwww..get him out of my head!!"

i think it works well here, and love the large foreground blurs. however, if you do want to bring hte view into the boy, i'd crop it square, as the camel is a little distracting.

I think the concept works - one focuses on the world around rather than what's right in front of them. Not sure it works entirely on this picture, though I do like the little boy between them. That's an intriguing point.
