This is extreme HDR/Tone mapping. On the plus side, the fabric is extremely well-presented with this technique. On the negative side, the backlit foliage in the BG is way out of proportion, value-wise, to the rest of the image, and the models' faces have picked up the characteristic "tone mapped dome" where the foreheads are reflecting light.
IN my experience, you are better off working on the original with healing brush to eliminate the light gradients on the faces BEFORE you tone map. The two flanking faces should more closely resemble the central face, which apparently was shaded by the veil because the gradation is not present there. |

This is exactly what I thought when first viewing the picture.

I like the effect it has on the dresses, brings out a lot of detail. but I don't think it flatters thier compextions at all. The light spots look ok but the darker areas of the skin look dingy now which I assume they didn't before processing. |

Not really my thing either - gives a kind of blotchy feel to your models. I suspect I would like the base photo, 'though. |

I'd like to see it with the green background darkened up considerable, letting the ladies in the center "glow" and be the focus of attention -- right now the brightness of the background tends to draw my eye away from them. |

This might be interesting on that shiny pearlescent paper (Mpix has it, I noticed), but otherwise it's really not my thing. |
