interesting choice of semi-desaturated on this flower - but the oversharpening, with the severe edge around the flower in full color, brings down the score significantly

Like the bit of selective desaturation, it makes the flower really stand out, 7 from me

I don't think that selective desaturation works that well here. One typically uses selective desaturation when attempting to bring out the object. You could have done all the same without making those flowers and leaves in the background so gray. It is now they that fight for attention.
