 I have been shooting this little still life off and on for several years. The house next to it is quite modern and is not like the other houses in the street whick are more or less trinitys, a room or so a floor and three floors. But the wood has remained there and the brick has not been painted since I first happened upon it. It is also up the street from one the community gardens that I shoot at frequently cause I pass it all the time (the Sartain Street Garden for any of the 30ish days All Things Floral thread). I tried it twice more this past weekend and went with the second day which is close to original composition of the first time I took it about 4 years ago. Also thought it made a very fine texture study and the difference in detail from the Fuji S602Z to the Nikon is quite noticeable, at least to me. Here is a link to the first image: Old Wood on Painted Brick I see there was a lot more blue paint in 2003 and a bit more orange paint left on the wood. Different processing, having learned so much here, not too saturated I hope but more so than the original. Hope this one is better and that you enjoy it.

Post: Convert from raw in PSElements 3.0 with a +0.33 exposure compensation. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation. Sharpen. Curves adjustment. Thought of cropping but left alone. Also could use some lens distortion correction but left that alone as well. Resize. Sharpen.

Nice photo, I do find it a bit flat, but the colors are great.

Great colours and texture. Not so sure about the composition. Perhaps re-compose to show more of the brick work, adding more negative space if you like. ?
