 I suppose this requires some explanation.

I was sitting at the car wash. There is an aquarium inside with cushy benches all around a TVs above it. A guy was sitting and working on his laptop to my left. But in front of me he was reflected in the right wall of the aquarium.

So I took out the trusty camera and made like I was photographing the fish, where in fact I was trying to get a good shot of this guy's distorted face.

I thought it would be cool to also really get a fish in the shot, but those fish were not cooperative. One of them kept zipping past the face, and two of the really fancy ones hung out over to the left. They were up to something.

I believe the guy had an idea that I was photographing him because if I could see his distorted face, he could see mine - and my distorted camera. But nobody protested so there you go.

I fiddled with the color balance here a bit and did some NI. Otherwise it's pretty much how it looked out of camera.

Alicia, great story. I have got to admit I have real problems taking candids even when i am pretending to take something else so kudos to you. I also love the fact that you can see I guy's distorted face in an aquarium and think....'I know what, I will get out my camera'

You are v cool, and a touch weird (but weird is good!!!!!!!)

Neat reflection. I like his "fu-manchu" nostrils hanging down. Distortion can be fun.

omg .. this would've gone good in the science fiction challenge .. or not .. like i'd know!!! .. this is great .. i love that totally distorted face with the sunglasses ... shame the fish were uncooperative ...
i find animals very uncooperative ... and then they surprise you by doing something that you've been wanting them to do for the last half hour .. the thing is that it's still incredibly uncooperative, because when they finally do wotever it is you want them to do, its not at a convenient time .. like you've just put your lens cap on in frustration, so you miss out .. they obviously have ESP and are not as they appear .. they appear sweet, cute and agreeable .. this is so far from the truth it hurts ... well it hurts when i dont get that shot .. it seems fish are very similar .. who said fish were stupid and had an attention span of maybe 2 seconds ?? .. maybe the person who tested them only had the attention span of 2 seconds, and consequently missed all the amazingly intelligent things the fish did after that time ..
i think your fish are just as you thought and were definitely up to something .. did you notice a new construction in the tank ???.. it may not only be the guy who is an alien but the supposed fish as well .. :):)xx
edit to put in some question marks .. so at least one sentence would make sense !!!
