 I went to Jenifer's, of Jenifer's Gardens (wedding flower designer you may remember from the golden orchid and roses photos), to get some help putting together a still life. We went through several things from skulls to flowers. I decided on this for the 50 day challenge. I couldn't use it for the still life challenge as it required too much PS.

Two layers one underexposed and one normally exposed. I used the underexposed layer to tone down the glare on the right side of the shell.

I love the material you used for the background. This photo makes the shell look so big! This is a great still life photo.

Wonderful shell and a fantastic macro. the cloth background works very well. Excellent PP to avoid the shell looking overexposed in places

It's a fairly large shell, about 6 inches or so in diameter.

Unexpected to see these two disparate things (shell, tapestry) combined so well. Good job on reducing the glare, too.
