I thought this was one of the strongest entries. Well done! |

The illumination on the subjects profile seems to say her day is dawning and she will find peace. |

The flower looks a bit odd around the edges. Good sharpness. A bit too much contrast in places, but still a great shot! |

I like it except for one thing...I wish the silouette din't have detail in the center of the head, it destracts from the image. Overall nice photo though. |

You've done a nice job of processing this image and setting it up. The backlighting adds to it as well. One minor glitch...the dates on the headstone take away from the reality of the scene you've arranged.
Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

My eye is begging for detail in the model that just ain't there. Just the tiniest amount of fill lighting would have helped this a lot. The red flower is a bit distracting and IMHO not necessary. It just doesn't add to the emotional impact of the shot.

While this does convey emotion and the photo is well taken, it lacks originality. I'd suggest spending more time exploring different ways to convey a meaning. |

can you do this with basic editing? Im guessing if you remove all the color except red from the whole picture and the only red are the flower and flag? Interesting, might be better with some more detail in the figure. |

I like the lighting here. I'm not sure about the selective desat on the rose, as I think it takes away from the subject, but I do like the very slight desat on the flag. |

I like the highlights in the hair. I think a partial desaturation would have worked a little better but that is my personal preference, or complete B&W, but I do understand what you were trying to accomplish. Usually I don't like frames but this one suits the photo. |

Great work. Very well thought out. Would be intersted to see if this was posed or candid? 7 |
