| I think this would look awesome in b/w, along with some contrast work, and the grain is a little distracting, but it is a great subject for the challenge, I certainly think it should have scored better. |

| I didn't know something happened in NYC in the past week, so I'm not quite sure what this is a picture of. Assuming it fits the time frame, the timing is impeccable. |

Excellent photojournalism -- I especially like the contrast between the people running away and the solitary figure (kid?) standing and watching.
If this was my photo, I have to admit I'd be sorely tempted to add a question mark to the sign on the truck. : ) |

| This is the first picture I saw of the event. You really captured it well and this is real emotion, not staged. Great contrast between the running people and kid standing there. |

| Do I think this image shows "Extreme Emotion": Yes. Could have been a big scorer but the grain, lack of color/contrast bring this down strongly imho, 6. |
