That's really interesting. Note to self: don't drink the client's product! :-)
I know this was all about the lighting, but this shows a few things that you'll know about next time. For example, the frosted glass really makes the first shot special, so you'd want to have a big supply on hand for repeated takes. I've also noticed in other people's shots the importance of having the backdrop ironed. |

I like seeing the process of learning new things. I don't really have a good place to shoot still life so it's cool to see what you've tried...and I love the beer slowly going away :) |

Love the disappearing beer. I think the lighting of the first one is the most dramatic, and may show form the best. |

Newcastle brown ale...and cigars...goodness that will ensure everything moves along the bus so to speak
I reckon if you do another 3 or 4 of these triptych tests then you wont care what the lighting looks like by the end
oh btw my personal preference is the middle one though I do like the fact that on the right the backdrop means you cant see the wall |

Dog! haven't seen any of that in years. You know, this Belgian beer is highly overrated at times. |

I'd blame the beer, but only because I'm not a fan of the nutty Newcastle ;) I don't have a clue about studio images/lighting, but it looks good, imo. So hopefully your learning curve won't be too much! Fun image, nice composition. |

Losing beer during a shoot, eh? That does sound familiar! I wish I could help with lighting or triptych... I'm dreadful at them, though! |
