This is an immature datura seed pod. Here is the bush.

I'm not much of a duo-tone fan, I thought I'd try it here.

I like this crop better. I'm glad someone else was entranced by the texture and prickly beauty here.

Thanks for your concern. I've lived in Minneapolis since 1986 and this is the safest section I've lived in. Most of the bad stuff seems to center about a mile up lake street.

I was approached by unofficial an neighborhood watch, and a nice old guy who spends a huge amount of time looking out his front window to see whats going on in his front yard. Good safe annoying neighbors. But when you mention East Lake Street, Minneapolis people from the suburbs get tense.

very fancy moon pod! I like how you've presented it here, like it's ready to hang on a wall. what attracts me if the diagonal line of the stem with the very multi-textured and clear pod angled for perfect placement in the frame.

Nice shot. I think the black border could be 1/2 to 2/3 smaller to make it less overpowering.

I think the processing works really well on this. On one hand I like the border but on the other hand I think ephln might be right about thinning out the black portion of it.

I like the image...but the border seems over powering for it (although I do like the border *smile*). Maybe try a smaller black border?

I love this image but also agree I like to see this wonderful tectured pod with a much tighter crop. If you do that please let me know as I love to see and comment on it.....

It was worth it, to crawl around. I'm not sure if the border is good for the image or not, the image itself has a shadow, but the border is flat with the white mat/background?

BTW, I've had a similar thing happen. I was laying on the floor somewhere making some images, and this guy in a pickup truck stopped and got out all worried, asking, "Are you OK?" I guess he thought's I'd fainted or something.

It's a striking pod, but the borders are fighting me here. Might work fine at a large size, but I need more pod in here. Comes to that, I think there's too much BG also; zoom in on the pod, maybe?
