The DOF here looks to me like it's not quite natural and maybe PS'd in. (sorry if I'm wrong...)

i like this photo, although its a bit fuzzy in the BG, and the shed doesnt seem to jump out at you. i did save it, and apply a BW conversion to it, and like the look.
might be something to try..

I like it how the soft mist in the image adds to the overall cold atmosphere.
