Very good eye contact & love the cats brush looking coat but I find the label on the left totally disruptive and the blank area above the cat unnecessary. I cropped just above the cats ears and halfwaway along his coat so it totally filled the frame and it really brought the expression out. |

This is a really cute cat, but I just don't see how it could be seen in NG especially since it's sitting in a carseat (or is that a recliner?) Sorry... this doesn't work for me in this particular challenge. |

Clear subject and eyes in focus, I do find the pattern of the background a bit distracting. A closer crop would have removed some of the pattern. I suspect some will vote it lower because not "exotic" enough for National Geographic. |

To improve the impact, I'd move "green eyes" off the couch - more natural setting. Lighting could be better on the butt-end, red/white label distracts from composition. Good color and exture on fur. |
