My coworker Ginger - Thank you!

Then sharpened, used blemish fixer (spot removal), digital noise removal, skin smoothing, cloned out the window crank, adjusted the brightness down and the contrast up, cropped and resized.

This was a good exercise for me, I'm glad that it had advanced editing. I had to keep reminding myself that it was "natural lighting". I had a lot of fun with this one. There are a lot of entries and I don't expect I'll get more than a 4.9 or a 5.0 on this one (fingers crossed).

I'm learning so much about my photo program and what people think is a good picture. The comments are great and always helpful.

Pretty harsh lighting. It doesn't do her justice.

good contrast, but too bright on the left... you lose details..

The lighting seems a little to harsh.

Very harsh lighting. Some of the pixels on the left side of the face and arm are completely blown. The same shot at a different time of day, or using a reflector and a much faster shuter speed would have probably done wonders.

Too harsh lighting on the left side of the image...

Very strong contrast. To my mind it's a bit distracting. Maybe pulling a shade on the window would have softened it a bit or a reflector on the "dark" side of your subject's face to even out the lighting a bit.

I like this. I find this type of work to be refreshingly honest
