 There were two spiders in the flower when I approached it, but my camera scared one of them away.

I did more editing than usual (for me) on this image.

I cloned out dust specks, added layers for hue, contrast. Then I went in and tweaked individual colours until I liked the effect.

As a person with colour-blindness I shoot for what I like, rather than what I think might be accurate...or pleasing to others. I guess you could think of it as another layer of subjectivity.

I then applied USM, and Neat Image, added the border and resized before uploading.

Very nice! The blue in the upper left is distracting, but I guess you couldn't crop it out without also cutting the bugs legs off.
