thanks a ton all! My best score but far from my best place-oh well. I thought about a black background but i was hoping the white background with the orangish tint from the juice would tie it all together and make it blend. Thanks for everything once again!

Hi Meggie,
Further comment on your photo as requested. Apologies for not making it earlier, was pressed for time during voting on this challenge. :)
I like the subject matter of this photo - the composition with the half orange against the glass is very pleasing. I also like the moistness on the fruit and the wetness of the glass.
I think it's cropped a little tight all around, not much but just a little. I find that the background doesn't give enough contrast against the main colour of the fruit/ juice to make the overall image zing out a little more.
Hope this is of some help,
Kavey

Great picture.

Great shot! Looks like it came right off the tropicana orange juice box. I like the fact that the background is an off white. It's better being on the yellow/orange side, it adds to the subject. The condensation on the glass was a nice touch.

worth framing!

Nicely framed shot. The background has the effect of washing out the picture to a dull yellow. A black background would have added great contrast.

NIcely composed but little too grainy for my liking.

nice, simple composition. good lighting and focus. seems a tad tilted but maybe it's an optical illusion. now i'm thirsty! ~indigo997

Knew someone would do this... Colors are a bit bland, esp the background... 5 sjgleah

nice idea. Perhaps a different color background might have drawn out the vibrant orange colors better?

like a lot. did u try leaving just the orange and the borrom part of the glass on a horizontal crop? it looks cool...

A darker background may have really made this stand out.
