You've been on a roll lately. Seems you have figured out the ribbon winning formula, or finally people have realized how good of a photographer you are.
Another terrific capture. I think the dilated eyes, moreso than the blue, really give a uniqueness to this portrait. Exceptional sidelighting. Congrats on the ribbon! |

I thought this was a really cool thing to say and it's so great to know that there are more of us out there still whose eyes don't immediately glaze over the second they see a child's portrait. Congratulations on the ribbon! :) |

Sorry, bad joke, the truth is I was moved when I read that about the parents. It's a great portrait and the child's beauty is only part of it. Congrats on a well-deserved ribbon. I'm happy to have been one of your 10s! |

| Excellent composition and expression. The soft colours surrounding the bright eyes really draw you into the shot. The only thing I can fault is I'm not sure the eyes were in critical focus, the nose and the hair at the top left seem to be the sharpest points. A great portrait anyway |

| Beautiful girl and beautiful eyes, excellent gradation of brightness across the face, sharp where it needs to be. Perhaps the narrow light crease under her right eye is a little distracting, but I enjoy the picture very much anyway. |

I normally hate shots of kids as too many people rely on their inherent "cuteness" rather than exploring them as an interesting subject. You've done an excellent job of using a child as a model.
Her eyes are all the more compelling because of your choice to shoot the rest of the shot as nearly monochrome and while there's no denying the "child's innocence" and sense of wonder, you could almost substitute an adult and get nearly as good a shot. Great work. |

| I am a little bothered by the size of her pupils. It seems they shouldn't be that big with the light from the window shining on her face. She is a beautiful child, and I like the soft focus. |
