This image is inspired by the work of one of my favorite photographers here on DPC --- Librodo. It does not even come close to the enchanting appeal of his work but I'm pretty pleased with the top 10 finish!

Thanks for all the comments and critique. I agree with all of the observations. I really liked this image when I posted it but the more I look at it during the challenge, the more I realized that I indeed over processed it. Another lesson learned... :)

This is better than librodo, imho. I hope you continue to fail in your attempts to copy the ribbon hogs.

Interesting and atmospheric, with good use of light. Whatever it is above her left eye (hair?) that's almost glowing is a bit distracting. Like the softness and luminosity of the material.

good foto, great detail (the eye), beautifull colours and (natural) light

High marks, but the overly brightened left eye is unnatural looking. Love the color scheme and great use of light....8

I really like this except for the one side of her face, its so so dark but yet her eye es really bright on that one side. I just don't think it looks natural.

Hmm, this looks like a librodo shot too. That's two in this challenge that I think favors his style. Good Job!

that red! this is beautiful, love the bright red & green irridescence

then her left eye (right frame), particularly under the stray lock of hair, pulls my eye to that corner; the editing there doesn't suit the rest of her facial image...perhaps a softer & bit more light around the anatomy of the eye, just enough to see the brow?

Amazing! It remembers me the National Geographic´s Afghan Girl.... very very good!

The eyes are over-dodged making for an unrealistic and unnatural photo, which is a shame because it's a fairly sound photo otherwise... maybe a bit hot on her earlobe.

only thing here I would mention is that you should have made the model trim her eyebrow otherwise beautiful picture nice contrast in color.

I really like the photo, beautiful colors, great connection to her. I am not really fond of the shadows on her L face, her eye justs seems to be floating there, given the amount of side light on her face and extending onto her forehead I would expect at least a bit of light on her L cheek which would have made the picture better imo,

still overall very nice 8

Beautiful shot. Love the vignetting and the sharpness and clarity on her face. The contrast in colors works very well also. Nice work.

woah, what eyes! the smoothing on the skin seems a bit uneven though, its rougher around her eyes and it doesn't really seem to fit in. beautiful colors

One of the best pics... great red and green contrast... the forehead has a greenish tint though... I would have preferred a more natural skin-tone.

The background is nice and so is the hood. The eyes (or atleast the right eye) stand out. However, the shading on the face is oddly dark and somewhat grayish looking in places.

I love the eyes of the model. Do you always have such stunning subjects or is there a technique to capturing the light so well?

I have looked at this now numerous times and I can't get past her left eye, how it just appears, it bothers me. Other than that I love the pose, composition, colors (vivid) focus and the PP.

such fantastic colours! Composition/pose/focus are all excellent as well. The background lighting is amazing for a natural light portrait, well done

I love the colors and the softness of this picture. The only thing that I noticed is that the model's forehead is greenish, which makes her look like an alien from another planet. You get an 8.
