I'm picking this as a favourite, because it is just so distinctly South African. It's just a typo, but it reminds me of how Afrikaans people sometimes translate English: "Hy het die pad diep gegrawe" - "He did grave the road very deep". :-)
It was never going to be a prize winner, this one, but as you look back on your portfolio now, I'm sure you think fondly of how you started out. |

I find the colours a bit flat here and would have preferred it with slight adjustments to the saturation and levels. |

LOL I can read this :). I reckon this photo was taken somewhere in South Africa. In Dutch the sign would say: "Rijd voorzichtig onverharde weg".
Now about the picture: I think the colours are a little dull. With the help of Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop this could have been easily resolved. Besides the sign there isn't much of interest. I think if you had showed us more of the surroundings the photo would gain much more appeal. |
