 I did this by folding two pages of a book and focusing the end away from the camera.

Hi from the Critique Club,

This is a well-planned shot, and it shows that sometimes Ken Rockwell is right. Good choice of focus, nice colours, and good composition. Although it seems like it's been done before here, it remains extremely original. You did a great job of eliminating the folded down pieces of paper in the middle; overall, an image that certainly deserved a top 10 finish!

The blurred line down the centre is a pity, but the heart is a nice effect.

Similar to earlier shots, but the viewpoint from inside the curved paper is really a big creative improvement. I would try to figure out a way to get rid of the blur caused by the pages together in the middle of the heart near the lens, maybe by not running the paper down to the binding but gluing the paper edges together at the top of the heart.

Nice, with the lighting was white, but that is my only complaint. Love the idea, i never would have thought of that.
