 Another of my lunch hour shots. I hadn't meant to do any shooting on my lunch hour today, but when I walked past this shiny new Vespa parked under the Lucky Kid sign, I had to run back to the office for my camera, because it (the Vespa) looked like a toy waiting for a kid to come along. I had taken a couple of shots when this man and his son were nice enough to walk into my viewfinder, and I managed to get a couple of shots of them.

FWIW, Lucky Kid is a boutique for rich babies. It has a lot of black, baggy shorts; black jean jackets, and Oakland Raider baseball caps -- all obscenely over-priced. In other words, if you want your toddler to look like a gang member, this is the place to shop.

Who doesn't want to pay a bunch of money to make their toddler look like a gang member?! Even if they'll outgrow it in a few weeks.

Nice photo, maybe a tad oversaturated for my taste, but I expect you were trying to get the Vespa colors to pop. I'm seeing more and more Vespas in NYC, and they are so beautiful.

The kid underneath the sign (and with the protection of his dad) is great serendipity and makes for a terrific photo.

I love the sign abover the father & son, it's almost saying that the little bot is a lucky kid to have a great dad. Haha, love the story on the shop!

and funny wot jon said coz i also wondered wot you meant by gang banger .. in australia that'd mean ...... hmmmmmm ... well not something that you'd want your toddler to look like ... altho i doubt a toddler could look like that anyway ... and i cant really explain here coz its just too 'out there' and there are kids in this site .. :)

OK, very nice picture but I am guessing that once again we are finding that England and Aemrica have a common language which has many mnay variances, because gang banger means something that I cant believe you were saying in the UK

lol the Vespa was not the first thing to catch my eye. What luck for those two to cross your path while taking this pic. That is great timing with them and the sign being there. A very cool photo...

Actually, I didn't even notice the Vespa because I immed. honed in on the "lucky kid" with the dad, and the sign! Great find, but the Vespa would've worked had they not stolen the show ; ) And I'm glad my girls aren't wanting to look like gang bangers... yet? (cringe!)

I like this, something about the Vespa (angle it's at maybe?) really does make it look like a toy.

I can't make up my mind about the people in the background though. Any chance you could put up one of the shots without them in it?
