Composition - quite good Technical Aspects - quite good Meets Challenge - yes Visual Impact / Originality – quite high Other suggestions – crop out a little more bowl on the bottom 7 Jim msp

Very appealing, great colors. I think the composure could've been a bit better though. More DOF to focus in all of the tomato would've been nice too.

Nice refractions of light in the crystal, and good use of negative space, heheh. I think its a very nice photo, but the tomato could be in better focus I think. It seems a bit blurred to me. 7 Konador |

would have liked most of your crystal cropped out...would have strengthened your image. needed to capture all of the tomato greenery in focus, as it is what keeps the eye traveling through space. good asymmetrical placement. (6) ~mcmurma |

I like the idea and composition, but the DOF was too shallow causing blur on your main subject. |

I think the detail is superb and I love the reflections of light falling on the bottom of the tomatoe. Composition isn't tops for me. 7, Kavey |

There are a number of forums running at the moment that ask what is, and how to use, negative space – just point them at your picture; after the voting of course :o) It's a great example (and there are a few in this challenge) of how to use it effectively. The shot is very inventive and it's a wonderful use of lighting and compositionâ€Â¦ (10) After the challenge, I'd love to know if this picture is related to another shot using a similar (or same) glass receptacle? |

per the title, the focus should have been on the bottom of the 'mater where it touches the glass, instead of the rear stem-leaves... |
