Looks like a nice place to spend some time. I don't think we have anything like that around here. |

Ah, Barton Springs...gotta love it. I really like the angle of this on the top of the stairs. You really did capture a slice of Austin, everyone there doing their own thing, very cool shot! |

This is a great cultural pic. I never even noticed the guy on his laptop. What an interesting place to visit! |

Very nice 'this is my life' shot. I was going to slate the chap for having his laptop but then worried that people may think the same of me when they see me with my camera
Oh...very good title as well!!! |

I really like the perspective of looking in on the fun from the trees. The woman walking down the path with her skirt swinging really gives a sense of a carefree time. Colors are beautiful. |

I agree with what thomaspeople had to say - 'technically good' does not equal a good photo.
This shot makes you want to be there, the color of the water alone just looks so refreshing! |

Sometimes "technically good" photos are still lacking a sense of capture. This image really gives the feeling you describe. It took me in, and I liked it- looking all around for all the little gems that are there. I didn't notice that it could use a little PP tweaking until I read your post.
I see the guy with the laptop (as you mentioned); and then there's the lady with her arms crossed, standing hip deep off to the left (wonder what she's thinking..). And you can't ignore the older gent (with the white bulging belly) out a little deeper on the right, standing in funny contrast next to the man with a little color and muscle definition. Finally, of course, you have to notice the pretty woman in the white dress in the foreground, walking barefoot toward the water.
Captivating.
Thanks for posting.

I love the steps leading me to the water. Very nice image. And it's great for a July 10th image! |

Looks like a really cool spot. With 50 days...I'd use this location again. |
