| Good subject, and detail is not bad on the hornet. Seems like very harsh lighting though, and the yellows look way over saturated. Another thing that may help is to get the subject out of the center of the frame in this case. The centered comp here just feels very static and lifeless. |

| This just doesn't feel nightmarish to me. The yellowjacket doesn't seem particularly threatening, nor do I feel disoriented. Perhaps a stranger DOF, or some background elements to get caught outside of the area of focus. The one thing I would say fits your theme is the harsh lighting and shadow, which ironically is probably what your score is getting dinged for. |

| really vibrant colors - this could have really worked well if it wasn't such a static image |
