 Today was rather frustrating. We went to an unfamiliar area on business, only for the trip to be a total waste of time. On the way back, I spotted what I thought would make a great stock image, but sadly with a 50mm prime, I was unable to get anything vaguely usable for the shot I really wanted. I really need to get a decent zoom! Too bad I wasted money last week on a second hand one that doesn't work right.

I tried some other shots, then when I finally got what I was trying for, I discovered my ISO was set to 1600. I took a few more, but with lots of traffic, I couldn't repeat the one I wanted and I didn't feel I could stay at the roadside forever, so I finally gave up. This was pretty much the best of the lot, but I don't think I'll have any useable stock shots for my effort.

I understand the frustration - I want a zoom lens as well. And I have ruined what potentially were very good shots because of noise with the high ISO.

With this, I love the change in color in the sky and for some reason, the balls on the power lines really catch my attention.

I don't know much about stock shots, but I really like the geometry of the power pole and power lines.

I hate when stuff like that happens. This is an interesting shot, with some strong lines and shapes.

i like the big truck moving toward me. the silhouetted trees are nice and the light bouncing off the wires is a treat!

Hey - for the 50 Day challenge it's awesome and very appreciated. I love the intense colors and how the light catches on the wires. Very nice.
