Im not real crazy about this one. It is interesting to see the control of the dof. The yellows fade away rapidly. |

Interesting shapes in the light and dark colours allow you to use your imagination to see what you will. Very selective DOF achieves effective focal point to draw the eye into the shot and then follow up into the darkness and around, circling back to the beginning again. |

Again, awesome detail. I'm going to have to get myself a DSLR one of these days with some macro lens!! I love these macros! |

hmmm,
hi Bearman, not sure what I think about this one! I keep hoping a little fairy person will come out fo that lower petal, or a tiny elf! maybe you can PS one in -eh? or a cute little bug? :)
the detail on that one sharp petal is amazing-it looks almost like raw linen fabric. and belies the smoothness of a tulip's petals, not sure I'll ever see them the same usual way again!

Very soft focus here, but it wotks a treat towards the appearance of the image.
I like the unusual shapes and tones a lot..... |

This looks like a yellow rose, not sure. Crazy about the DOF; LOVE the softer parts of the image. The part in focus along with the darker center does remind me of the mouth of perhaps a fish... |

a very small bud... (I think) Unusual and attractive neutral, basic biege/tan/yellow/brown colour, I can't tell what you did - appears possibly toned or deepened. Foreshortened petal puzzle interlock shapes in soft dof are excellent, realistic optical view and interesting. |

Almost a fit for nightmares. It looks like this giant slug trying to eat you. The part that's clear is nice and clear. |

A very interesting perspective. Is this a yellow rose? |

Not just a mouth, but a big, burly guy saying, "YO!" out of the side of his mouth. |

This really works as an abstract of colors and forms. Nice how it breaks away from just the flower image. Love it. |

This feels like a mouth.
The shallow DOF is really fun
