My truest nightmare, and one I had on a recurring basis after my daughter was born, waking up only to realize that no one is ever getting into my house without me knowing it because of my dog (who barks when car doors close down the street). Still, it comes back on occasion.

I know this nightmare personally. I think you captured it very, very well. I usually think the scores are about right, but this one strikes me as too low. You clearly hit it out of the park with the commenters, though, which is always good - it shows you found your audience. My guess is that people who don't have kids just won't be hit the same way.

A nightmare that truly strikes a common chord.

Between this photo and the one with the baby stroller laying in the road...you guys are freaking me out! 10

Very nice and subtle. I like the shades here and the perfect setup for the theme. On a different note this makes me feel awfully sad by the very thought. Your pic is making me feel so much!

Oh gosh, yes! I used to fear this, even after I moved the crib next to my own bed.

I gave this photo a 10 because I see no technical flaws; I think the color you chose adds the right mood to it and the angle works well too. Most of all I thought it fit the theme of the contest better than any of the others. Great job and thanks for sharing!

Every parents worst nightmare - having their baby snatched.

Good job on the lighting and composition. I really lime the sepia tones used here

This picture near an open window would of been better.

this is incredibly disturbing and a nightmare I always have as a parent of two young boys - very well captured image - the perspective is right on the money and the lighting and details included in the image really sell it.

Chilling, managed to pick a subject that will always produce a strong reaction. The use of sepia works well to make it seem like a memory. 9
