 Day 10.
I got within 5 inches of this guy and began to stare. He was unflinching, unmoved. The time passed and passed, my heart began to race but this guy was made of stone. Sweat began to fall into my eyes and my palms were wet but I wasn't about to give up. So I stared and stared some more. His antenna moved I'd swear I saw that but it was only in my mind. He was unmoved. My breathing labored but I knew I had him. I knew it! But then at the last moment when I was on the verge of claiming victory my eyes fluttered. I turned away in defeat shoulders slumped and went back in the house.

Your story just cracked me up, good thing I work alone of they'd think I was nuts (okay, maybe they actually wouldn't).

Don't you just hate those things? But this is cool, he looks like he's got a coat of armour on. Good focus, leaving the flower dreamy and abstract.

Funny story! The focus is sharpest on the beetle, but it's a little hard to see the details because the lighting seems to be brightest on the background. Might be able to do a little selective brightening on just the little guy to bring out his "face" more.
