This is actually a pretty unique shot. Over the past week, Boise, Idaho has been going though an interesting inversion. I went skiing over the week and was able to break out of it and see all the fog. The sky was clear and warm above and absolutely beautiful.
Enhancements (Quite post-processed):
1.Auto Levels
2.Adjusted Contrast
3.Adjusted Color Balance (To enhance blueness of sky, the blue was a little bit duller than I had hoped in the original)
4. Some touch ups with blurring to reduce harsh edges

I always like seeing the tops of the clouds.

Very nice landscape. Trees are just a little bit dark in the foreground. This is a great photo, and probably a perfect one with a little less sunlight where you could leave the shutter open just a hair longer to get a little more exposure on the dark trees without blowing anything out. NIce work. Have to settle for 9 though.

I have to know where this is, I must go there! I love the line of blue sky and how it is echoed through the vanishing peaks. Great contrast in colors. I think the trees in the foreground could have had a little bit of color to them to add to the contrast. but I give it an 9!

Very beautiful. Wish we could see a little more detail in the foreground though. Good Job!

Nice shot. You did very well, getting all the texture that you could with this much of a spread from light to dark. There is something about the foreground that throws off the composition. I think it's the darkness. Pretty, none the less.

This would be a winner in POV and I wouldn't be surprised if it took a ribbon in this challenge. Wonderful photo! I love the silhouetted trees against the muted colors and that you can see, it seems, for miles and miles. Only thing that needs improving is that the distant mountains get lost in the same colored clouds.

Very nice... maybe a little lighter foreground... probably can't do without over exposing the snow and clouds.

Oh so close to my home of Montana! I love this shot. The mountains, the snow, the line of trees in the front to offer an starting point. The clouds are awesome, the line of grey going through would have made a perfect top to me. The blue sky is beautiful (really reminds me of home) but in this shot it pulls me away from the rest of the shot. I put a paper up and set it just above the grey line of clouds and what a difference. A 9

great depth to this shot. The sky bothers me a bit, to cyan.

I like the different layer, just wish the clouds did not for the three bands, might have tried a crop in the middle of the dark grey cloud band.

Nice dof and interesting sky. A NG shot to be sure.

Definitely gives you the feeling of the vastness of the wilderness. Good depth of field. Separation of the foreground trees, the midground, the mountain range and the cloud/sky really makes this interesting.
