I've never heard of this type of 'lost and found'. It sounds like a cool idea. And now that I know it's Austin, I'm not surprised! Everyone I know that's knows Austin says it's a wonderful community. |

And wow, how could you NOT have photographed that? Fascinating. Great shot technically too -- the baseball especially seems to leap out of the monitor at me. Good job. |

This is a very sad image, although a very good one. Great composition and contrasting textures. Wonderful story. |

What an enchanting story. I love the idea of having a 'lost and found area' on a walk. Even better (though obviously not for the butterfly) is the elements that make up this picture, the plaque and ball both have a aged presnce about them but the most beautiful thing is the butterfly which looks less decayed than the other two items but is obviously in a state far beyond them
Very visually appealling shot |

Nice photo, and I love the story behind it. How funny that the dead butterfly is there as if someone might have placed it. Great detail on the baseball. |

Nice arrangement and DOF. I see it now, somebody carrying the butterfly over there, just in case somebody was looking for it. |

It is interesting how everything is color coordinated in the shot except for the butterfly, really makes it stand out. Very interesting arrangement of stuff, I really like the composition! |

sweet! I love the incongruity of the items - what does the plaque say? Wait, don't tell me, save it for day 10:) |

I really like this, and I think it's really cool that people do that with the lost items, makes me like the world. |

I was thinking the same thing as karmat, I was gonna say "that's crazy". It makes you wonder if someone found the butterfly & out it there, or if he just died there, very interesting shot! |

It almost looks like the baseball knocked the butterfly out of the air. |
