Another sub 5...Let's see if it will survive the 4.
I like what Gimp did to the image. There's resizing (downsizing), a crop, a channel mixer, some sharpening, resizing (upsizing), and the original is in focus, but this is out. But, I like it, because my dreams are never in focus. And they're monochrome, also.

This is interesting in the way the steps seem to just float in the background, which makes it seem as though they go right off across the sky.
You got a Posthumous comment too, how cool is that?

Greetings from the critique club!

Overall this a pretty good idea that was pretty well executed.

Judging from the effect you were looking for I would say go with a really large aperture and get lower. This would then look like a nice sharp foreground with the image softening as you go back. The path takes you into the frame so a lower angle would emphasize that.

The black and white conversion works well for the challenge and the image but it is quite dark. There's nothing wrong with that but there might be more visual appeal if you played with levels and/or curves a bit to get greater contrast.

Thanks for the visit and the comments and the votes. I'm surprised, I expected this to do worse, maybe struggle between 3 and 4, but never to be 5+.

Anyhow, now I know what to do for Dreams III; I'll make sure that there are a pair of legs there, in a funny angle, no face, no torso, just a pair of legs with funny cowboy boots.

Thanks again.

It is as much the title of the topic as the subject matter itself.
Very cool. Thanks.
