 Seven glasses filled with water. I could not find enough different glasses, so one sticks out a bit.

I like my backlit glass...

Lighting: A flash behind and below the glasses, firing into a blue wall. The aim with this image was to try get the light as soft as possible, therefore I could not have any direct light on the glasses. The flash was triggered by PC cord and not optically as I did not want to risk the built-in flash creating an ugly highlight on the glasses.

Post processing: RAW conversion. Noise Reduction. Cloned out the worst of the hundreds of dust specks and small scratches in the glasses, as well as toning down a smudge on the wall. Also had to clean up some noise left on the background after noise reduction.

I only noticed later that I had exceeded the sync speed of the camera, must have bumped the shutter speed dial. Fortunately the 1/250 rating is fairly conservative and the flash still syncs just fine at 1/320.

Greetings from the critique club :)

Well again I get a shot from the top 5 of this challenge and again I don´t really know what to say, there is pretty much nothing I can critique on this shot. It´s well lit, crystal clear regarding contrast and sharpness, the strong color is very good and well it´s a prett good shot.

Only thing I can say is I have seen "it" (or very similar shots) before and I have a strong feeling I will see 10 or more like it in the Still Life challenge that is open for submission now. Needs something extra to really impress me, like a goldfish in each of the glasses or whatever. Again, very well done on the lighting, I know how hard it can be to light glass.
