This is a black Jumping Spider devouring a Cabbage White butterfly. It took a long time for the spider to finish the meal, so I got off 150 shots. Hope you all like it, and can still sleep tonight!

What is that? A white moth? I know this probably wasn't an easy shot to get and not subjects willing to cooperate with poses but a different color in the bg would have set this off a little better. It is advanced editing though so possibly a hue adjustment on in layers on the bg would have done it. The spider needs to be a little sharper imo but not a bad shot at all. Difficult to catch nature in action like this without making the spider go away. Good catch (no pun intended).

I understand the complexity of a shot like this (which it does fit the challenge), but would like to see a less shallow dof, specially in the upper white areas. Besides, for an insects iliterate like myself it is hard to figure out which specific parts depict the hunter and the prey..Bearing all that in mind this is a 6 for me.
